Carrier oils

Carrier oils are mild vegetable oils used to dilute essential oils before applying them to the skin. Essential oils are very concentrated, so carrier oils help spread them safely and reduce irritation.

They’re called “carrier” oils because they carry the essential oil onto the skin.
